Happy Mondays! today was a bit of a hump day ๐ In the morning we headed out to the east and tracked our pod of choice as they made their way north to long reef. One of the pods went down briefly and came up with a big gulp of the Tasman sea showing of its bulging pleats, quite an impressive sight ๐ See the first image on the post it’s pretty cool ๐ The afternoon saw Bubbles tracking further to the east after we spotted 3 active pods, tail throwing and breaching as we approached. The three pods did return to swim mode as we made our way further north to long reef again tracking a duo, one with very pretty flanks, returning to their normal swim pattern, no major acrobatics from our pods today ๐๐ Please Note: Unfortunately the weather over the next 3 days is forecast heavy rain, windy and high seas ๐จ๐๐ง Not bad for whales but not ideal for humans. The team at GoWhaleWatching thanks you ALL SO MUCH for choosing to watch this amazing migration and we will get you out on the ocean as soon as possible when it is safe and comfortable to continue our ocean adventures :) Please check our website for the next availability and join the team to experience one of the longest migratory journeys on the planet ๐๐๐Button

The end of a stunning week of whale watching๐ All three cruises today experienced some of the calmest, wonderfully wintery, ocean conditions of the season so far ๐ We chose to track our own pods of humpbacks on each adventure ๐๐with the morning cruise experiencing the most active whales of the day with a cool breach and some beautiful tail work ๐ The midday cruise was a little more relaxed showing a few close encounters and tail throws with so many pods of whales spotted all displaying very similar behaviour. We completed our Sunday whale watching with a couple more pods of whales, including a mum and our first sighting of a very early new born calf and an absolutely stunning sunset ๐ captured wonderfully by our photographers. We wish the new born calf a safe journey Next Cruises tomorrow 10am and 1:15pm Join the team to experience one of the longest migratory journeys on the planet ๐๐๐ Book online at https://gowhalewatchingsydney.com.au/ or ring the office direct: 02 6495 1686Button

A completely wonderful full day on the ocean with so many pods of whales spotted on all three cruises. The Whales saved the best until last and goodness it was worth the wait ๐๐ During the morning cruise we tried our hardest not to pod hop, we were tempted on a few occasions ๐ง Bubbles ended tracking a couple of whales just off Manly that displayed some beautiful tail activity and also a random breach from a second pod little further to the north๐๐ The midday cruise also presented quite a few options with many pods all behaving in a similar pattern. The whales were enjoying the sun and the calm ocean after a couple of days of southerly and high seas. No heroics from the humpback as they slowly made their way to the north๐ The Tasman sea remained in a calm state for our sunset cruise as we made our way a little further out to the east choosing to track a tail throwing duo whilst we were surrounded by multiple pods of whales. We stuck to the plan and the whole of Bubbles were rewarded with some epic tail action finishing the day with a “BONKERS” sunset breach as one of the whales launched out of the ocean just as the sun set over Sydney city, MAGIC HAPPENED๐๐ The three rules of the day were, Patience, Patience and more Patience๐คซ Next Cruises tomorrow 8:30am, 1:45pm & 3:00pm Join the team to be part of one of the longest migratory journeys on the planet ๐๐๐ Book online at https://gowhalewatchingsydney.com.au/ or ring the office direct: 02 6495 1686Button
