Go Whale Watching direct from Sydney Harbour
It is the annual migration of humpback whales from Antarctica to Queensland that makes Sydney such a great spot from which to take a whale watching cruise. Each year, from May to August, thousands of whales make the trip, a journey that brings them right past the city as they head to warmer waters off the coast of Queensland. If you have always wanted the opportunity to see these magnificent creatures in the wild, joining one of our Sydney whale watching tours is a must when you are in the area. Our passion for wildlife in general, together with our expertise in the field of marine life in particular, enables us to offer you a more enjoyable, more informative, and more relaxing whale watching experience than any other operator. We love whales and we have a great deal of experience in following them through local waters, which means you have more chance of seeing plenty of action when travelling with us.

At Go Whale Watching Sydney we have a great respect for the ocean and for all its amazing creatures. Whale season is our favourite time of the year. We are passionate about whales and enjoy sharing this with our passengers. Your tour will be relaxed, friendly and informative.

Join us for the Humpback Migration
Each year large numbers of Humpback Whales migrate from the Antarctic waters where they have spent the summer months feeding to the northern NSW/Queensland region to calve and breed. Their northern migration brings them past Sydney during the months of May, June, July and August. They return on their southern migration from August to December.
Whale Watching Cruise in Sydney
Our most popular cruises are from 2 to 3.5 hours in duration, enough time to get out into the waters that are frequented by the whales and to show you not just many examples of the fantastic humpback whale but dolphins, Orcas and other marine life that can be found in this part of the world. One of the reasons that many people prefer whale watching in Sydney to any of the alternatives is the sheer variety of marine species they have the chance to spot when out on a boat in local waters. Whilst we cannot guarantee the appearance of any particular species, we always do our best to ensure that our clients enjoy studying the natural behaviours of a wide selection of marine life during their time with us. It is our expertise with humpback whales that has helped to make us so popular over the years but it is our genuine passion for all marine life that helps to make our tours unique.

The Best Vessels for Whale Watching Cruises in Sydney
As you might expect from the people who provide the best whale watching Sydney has to offer, the boats that we use are all designed specifically for our purpose. We have two custom designed, ocean going catamarans, both of which boast 360-degree viewing decks; we also have a speedy RIB that was built to accommodate 20 passengers on our local cruises. During the Sydney whale watching season, all three of our boats are kept busy with the constant demand we experience from both new and returning customers. Comfort, speed, and safety are all of paramount importance to us and the vessels we use were designed with these three factors in mind. If you would like to go whale watching with the best team in the area, on the best equipped vessels available, please do not hesitate to call or email us to make a booking or to ask for further information on the packages we provide.
